GOLDEN JUBILEE
HM Queen Elizabeth II
opening The Macmillan Care and Treatment Centre at
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
6th. February 2002

Peter Cardy Esq., Chief Executive of Macmillan Cancer Relief said:
"We at Macmillan are very pleased that in her Golden Jubilee year, the Queen has decided to open the Centre on this the anniversary of her accession. It is a real honour, and recognition of all the hard work the local community has put into making the Centre a success".
"The new building was designed in consultation with patients and staff who told us what a huge difference it makes having cancer services in one building. The friendly, relaxing atmosphere of the Centre is also helping to make each visit a much easier experience."
"The Macmillan Care and Treatment Centre has been made possible thanks to the tremendous support of people in West Norfolk, who have helped Macmillan raise £1.2 million for the cost of the building."
